- Moments you thought lost forever!
-
- 1. Appearing on "Into the Night" Andrea looks absolutely gorgeous! While visiting with
- Rick Dees, she talks about many things! Stepping to the stage, she sings "Do you miss me."
- Which is simply outstanding!
-
- 2. Speaking from the heart, Andrea shares with us, her admiration for Irving Berlin
- during an exceptional interview from "CBS This Morning." After touching upon many of
- the classics written by him, she sings "Falling in love is wonderful they say."
- It doesn't get any better than this!
-
- 3. Returning to the stage we are treated to another performance by Andrea at "The
- Paradise Room" where she sings, "Sadness or euphoria."
-
- 4. Singing "Long ago and far away" Andrea makes a striking appearance on
- the Charles Grodin Show. She looks and sounds "wonderful!" During the interview
- portion of the show, she shares many things with us! Including how she rests her
- voice prior to a performance, her home life, and so much more!
-
- 5. Performing a touching selection on "The Cabaret Beat" Andrea sings
- of a lost love, "Until you get home."
-
- 6. Returning to "Into the Night" with Rick Dees, Andrea makes a splendid
- appearance! She always looks great! Interestingly, she confides to us that
- when she gave up the struggle for "fame and fortune" everything that she
- ever wanted in life, suddenly came to her. Stepping to the stage, Andrea
- performs "I'll be seeing you."
-
- 7. Appearing on the Wil Shiner show, Andrea performs a touching selection, titled
- "Someone to love." Which is absolutely wonderful! Very simple but elegant! After a brief
- visit with Wil, she sings another song, "Why was I born to love you." Another classic!
-
- 8. Performing "Someone to love" Andrea makes a grand appearance on "The Tonight Show"
- with Johnny Carson. Dressed in her evening gown, she looks absolutely gorgeous! She has
- such an incredible presence! And that flawless voice! Truly wonderful!
-
- 9. The last item that I have in my collection, is a very special concert performance
- by Andrea that was taped in a very small theater, here in Nebraska. During her one
- woman show, Andrea performs the songs of "Ruth Etting." Who was the golden girl of
- the 1920's and 30's, both on stage and in the movies. Throughout Andrea's show, she
- performs so many songs, that I can't even mention them all, plus I'm not familiar with
- the songs of particular time period. But from what I can tell, here's a "short" list:
-
- "Shine on harvest moon" "At sundown" "Sam the accordion man" "Nobody but you"
- and "Ten cents a dance" "Why was I born" "Mean to me" "What about me"
- "Shaking the blues away" "Zing went the strings of my heart" "You belong to me"
- "Love me or leave me" to name but a few! Inbetween each of the songs, Andrea
- talks about Ruth, bringing us even closer her glorious image! This is a remarkable
- concert! Very, very nice! Not to be missed!
-
- for taking the time to read through these rather lengthy descriptions!
- I know it seems rather "incredible" to believe!
- All these moments from the past.
- Moments that you might have missed recording.
- And those that you have only heard about!
Throughout the years, I've shared many of these clips from my collection
- with my friends, and they have always been astounded by all the appearances
- that I was able to record. To ensure the highest quality possible, I use a "dual deck"
- vcr when I'm sharing any of these moments from my collection.
-
- I look forward to hearing from you!
